§ 55. Sir G. Nabarroasked the President of the Board of Trade what was the total value of vehicles' exports of all 1199 kinds, including spares, in 1969; what estimate he has made for 1970; what percentage of visible exports is now represented by vehicle industries' exports; what measures of help to improve export performance he is now contemplating; and whether he will make a statement on motor exports generally.
§ Mr. MasonExports of aircraft, rail, motor and other vehicles (including engines and parts) totalled £1,369 million, or 19 per cent. of total exports. I prefer not to venture a forecast for 1970. The many and widely used forms of Government assistance are available to vehicle manufacturers as they are to other exporters.
