HC Deb 11 February 1970 vol 795 c1255
Mr. Michael Foot

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. May I ask whether you have received a request from the Secretary of State for Defence to be allowed to answer Question No. 65 today, particularly because it involves totally misleading information having been given to the House, a matter which the House of Commons as always, on previous occasions, considered as being of great importance?

Many of us thought that the Secretary of State would have taken an early opportunity to answer this Question, and I was wondering whether he made a request to do so today.

Mr. Speaker

The Secretary of State for Defence will note what the hon. Member has said. I have received no such request.
