§ The Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons (Mr. William Whitelaw)With permission, Mr. Speaker, I should like to make a short business statement.
The House will wish to know that if the situation requires the continuation in force of the Emergency Regulations beyond the rising of the House on Friday, 18th December, consideration will be given on Thursday, 17th December to Her Majesty's Most Gracious Message and to a Motion to approve the Emergency Regulations before proceeding with the business already announced for that day.
