§ Mrs. Secretary Castle, supported by Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Secretary Crossman, Mr. Fred Peart, Mr. Anthony Wedgwood Benn, Mr. Secretary Ross, Mr. Roy Mason, Mr. Secretary Thomas, and Mr. Harold Walker, presented a Bill to make provision with respect to the establishment and functions of a Commission on Industrial Relations as a statutory body; to amend the law relating to employers and workers and, in particular, the law relating to trade unions, employers' associations and wages councils and to trade disputes, the law relating to the Industrial Court and industrial tribunals, and the law relating to friendly societies in relation to membership of a trade union; and for purposes connected with those matters: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed.
