HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 c8
12. Mr. Gower

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is aware that housing projects in nine areas of south-east Glamorgan are still delayed by local sewerage deficiencies, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Barry; and what action he will take in relation to the areas of Barry near Port Road and Pontypridd Road and in relation to the sewerage deficiencies at Pentyrch, Creigiau and Radyr.

Mr. E. Rowlands

The hon. Member wrote to my right hon. Friend on 8th April about these cases, and he is looking into them.

Mr. Gower

Will the hon. Gentleman take particular account of the position in the areas of Radyr, Creigiau and Pentyrch? While it is appreciated that it is rather difficult terrain, is he aware that the need there is aggravated?

Mr. Rowlands

We shall be looking at each of the cases individually. The hon. Gentleman has written to us. We have recently been able to release a number of sewerage schemes for housing development.
