§ 45. Mr. Palmerasked the Lord President of the Council if, in view of the transfer of the responsibilities of the former Minister of Power to the Minister of Technology, he will now arrange for extra days for Questions to the Minister of Technology in order that opportunities for honourable Members to question Ministers on fuel and power policy shall not be reduced.
§ Mr. PeartAs I have already said, I am willing to consider, through the usual channels, changes to the roster, if that proves to be the general wish.
§ Mr. PalmerBut is not my right hon. Friend aware that there has already been a real loss of accountability to the House in fuel and power Questions? Should not action be taken fairly soon to put the situation right?
§ Mr. PeartI have repeated so often—for instance, I said it last Thursday—that we should see how it goes. I will then reconsider this through the usual channels.
