§ 7. Mr. Martenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further proposals he has for vehicles for disabled drivers.
§ Mr. EnnalsI have nothing to add to my hon. Friend's reply to a series of Questions about vehicles for the disabled on 27th January, 1969.—[Vol. 776, c. 929–32.]
§ Mr. MartenCan the hon. Gentleman say how many of the 1,600 cars for people eligible for four-wheel cars have been issued? Is it about 250? If so, why is the number so small, considering that the offer was made in February, 1967?
§ Mr. EnnalsI cannot give the exact number of cars issued. If the hon. Gentleman puts down a Question, I will give it to him. It is true that there has been a slightly smaller number of applications under the new category than we expected when we introduced the expansion scheme.
