§ 34. Sir D. Rentonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what has been the net increase in Commonwealth immigrants during the first four months of 1969.
§ Mr. CallaghanDuring the first quarter of 1969 10,118 Commonwealth citizens were admitted for settlement. This represents a decrease of about 25 per cent. on the corresponding figure last year. In addition 1,652 United Kingdom passport holders were admitted. I do not have 1607 the numbers of those who left during this period.
