Friend approved one multi-purpose sports complex, 12 swimming pools, two sports halls, five dual provision schemes for use by schools and the general public, and 153 minor schemes involving the lay-out of playing fields, provision of sports pavilions, changing accommodation, etc.
Mr. MitchellI thank my hon. Friend for that very satisfactory answer. Will he give special consideration to granting loan sanction to local authorities which wish to purchase ex-Army drill halls for conversion into indoor sports centres or similar things?
