Lady considered the use of the empty site at Trafalgar Square, earmarked eventually for the National Portrait Gallery, for the building of a gallery immediately so that the Tate Gallery could use it temporarily pending the provision of a new Tate Gallery when that can be provided on Millbank?
§ Miss LeeAll Departments involved have given this matter careful study. They have considered all the suggestions which have come from Members of this House and interested members of the public. I believe that in the near future we shall be able to make an announcement which will win pretty general approval.
