§ 61. Mr. Gordon Campbellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his latest estimate of the date of publication of the report of the Royal Commission on Local Government in Scotland.
§ Mr. MillanI have nothing to add to the Reply my right hon. Friend gave 959 the hon. Member on 15th April.—[Vol. 781, c. 229–30.]
§ Mr. CampbellSince the Redcliffe-Maud Commission for England is supposed to be reporting on Wednesday, why is there such a hold-up with the Report of the Royal Commission in Scotland? Why is it not yet ready? Do the Government realise that a great deal of work is being held up in Scotland because many people are waiting for Wheatley?
§ Mr. MillanThe question of the finalisation of the Report is not a matter for the Government, it is a matter for the Royal Commission.
