HC Deb 25 July 1969 vol 787 c2233
Mr. Pavitt

With your permission, Mr. Deputy-Speaker, and that of the House, I beg to ask leave to present a Petition. In 10 days, 2,600 passengers and my constituents using Bus Route 52 have signed this Petition. It shows that this service is being so drastically cut as to cause hardship and serious concern, and charges the London Transport Executive with complete indifference.

" Wherefore your Petitioners pray that Her Majesty's Government be urged to institute an immediate inquiry as to the reasons why London Transport has allowed this route to deteriorate over the years to the extent that it is no longer capable of meeting the service requirements of the public.

And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever humbly pray."

To lie upon the Table.
