HC Deb 21 July 1969 vol 787 c1205
2. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what further systematic progress-chasing he has done on the Fulton Committee Report.

Mrs. Hart

Progress is continuous. The report "Developments on Fulton", to which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister drew the attention of the House on 13th March recorded a number of decisions. Since then the Government have announced several more. Further announcements will be made as appropriate.—[Vol. 779, c. 351.]

Mr. Dalyell

In particular, has any decision been made on a section of the proposed Civil Service College in Scotland for which a number of Scottish Labour Members have been pressing?

Mrs. Hart

I ask my hon. Friend to await the Answer to a further Question which I should be giving in a few minutes time.

Mr. David Howell

What progress is being made with the study which I believe is being undertaken of Government activities which might fruitfully be hived off to separate agencies and taken out of Departments?

Mrs. Hart

Hiving off is under study, but I am not in a position to make any clear statement about it.
