Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make further provision with respect to the Gas Council, Area Gas Boards and Gas Consultative Councils and to amend the enactments relating to gas, it is expedient to authorize—

  1. (1) any increase attributable to the said Act of the present Session in the sums which fall to be issued out of or paid into the National Loans Fund under section 2 of the Electricity and Gas Act 1963;
  2. (2) any increase attributable to the said Act of the present Session in the sums which fall to be issued out of the Consolidated Fund under section 45 of the Gas Act 1948 (including that section as extended by section 4 of the Gas and Electricity Act 1968);
  3. (3) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any administrative expenses incurred by the Minister of Technology in consequence of the said Act of the present Session and of any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under section 55(3) or section 72 of the Gas Act 1948; and
  4. (4) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any increase attributable to the said Act of the present Session in the sums payable into that fund under section 72 of the Gas Act 1948.—[Mr. Harper.]
