asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he expects to receive the report of the Reddaway Committee on selective employment tax; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend still expects to receive Professor Reddaway's initial findings by the end of the year.

Mr. Milne

Can my hon. Friend speed up the issue of this report and its examination by his Department, in view of the widespread disquiet arising from this tax, which affects employment?

Mr. Rodgers

We shall do our very best, though not necessarily for the reasons which my hon. Friend has outlined.
