§ 43. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of Slate for Scotland when he expects the work on Scottish Labour history, undertaken under the auspices and finance of his Department by Mr. McDougall of Strathclyde University in January, 1967, will be available to Members of Parliament.

§ Mr. HughesDoes the Secretary of State realise that the history is anxiously awaited by a large number of people in Scotland as a guide and an inspiration to what they may do in the event of the likely constitutional alterations in Scotland at the time of the next General Election?
§ Mr. RossI would be inclined to agree with my hon. and learned Friend, but I must assure him that it has no connection with the Scottish Office.
