HC Deb 15 October 1968 vol 770 cc199-200
Q8. Mr. Ridley

asked the Prime Minister if he will place in the Library a copy of his public speech about the economy, on Saturday 6th July at the Pavilion in Newtown, Montgomery.

The Prime Minister

I did so, Sir, on 8th July, 1968.

Mr. Ridley

I am grateful to the Prime Minister. I have had the benefit of reading his speech. As he says that the task of a Labour Government is to direct change which will help to make the country strong, would he now say whether he intends to legislate to improve industrial relations along the lines of the Report of the Donovan Commission?

The Prime Minister

The hon. Gentleman will no doubt be desirous of waiting for the Gracious Speech, which will, as usual, open the new Parliamentary Session.
