HC Deb 05 November 1968 vol 772 c682
20. Mr. Speed

asked the Minister of Power if he is yet ready to make a statement on the pricing policy of the National Coal Board.

Mr. Freeson

No, Sir.

Mr. Speed

Is it the Minister's intention that the N.C.B.'s present pricing policy will continue to result in the closure of long-life, marginally profitable, high-output coalfields?

Mr. Freeson

That is another question, but we do not expect the results of the study referred to in the Question before the end of the year.
