§ Mr. SkeffingtonOn 26th March we had an interesting discussion in Committee about the position of the G.L.C. As a result of an undertaking I gave, the Opposition withdrew their Amendment which purported to give the powers contained in the Clause to the G.L.C. Amendment No. 46 now does that. Amendment No. 47 makes provision for the necessary consultations between the G.L.C. and the London boroughs and brings them into line with the arrangements for planning authorities outside the Greater London area.
