asked the Lord Privy Seal what visual aids are now available for use by Members within the Palace of Westminster.

Mr. Peart

There are none at present, but I will glady look into any suggestions made by the hon. Member.

Mr. Lloyd

Would it not, for example, greatly facilitate the work of the Standing Committee considering the Finance Bill upstairs if in the presentation of involved and complex statistics such visual aids were available?

Mr. Peart

I am aware that visual aids and all methods of education are important, but there is a cost factor. I am looking into this.

Is my right hon. Friend aware, since we are discussing visual aids, that one of the visual aids the House would not welcome very much would be televising the House? We are in enough trouble already without letting the people look at us at the same time as they hear us.
