to certain amendments of the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of and into the National Loans Fund of any increase in the sums which, under section 7 of the National Loans Act 1968, are payable out of and into the National Loans Fund, being an increase attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present Session providing that the purposes for which the Exchange Equalisation Account is to be used shall include the purpose of carrying out the functions of Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom under the amendments aforesaid of which the text was laid before Parliament in June 1968. —[Mr. Harold Lever.]
