22. Mr. Monro

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement on the volume and value of milk powder imports in the first five months of 1967 and 1968.

Mr. Hoy

In the first four months of 1968, as compared with the same period in 1967, the volume and value of milk powder imports declined slightly. Figures for May 1968 are not yet available. I will, with permission, circulate the details in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Is not the important point that the price of milk powder which is now imported is falling rapidly due to overseas subsidy? How long does the
