§ Dr. BrayThe Department has made a preliminary survey of the foundry equipment industry, which is relevant to the promotion of more advanced foundry techniques and which is still under consideration. A need has been identified for the capability of offering complete packaged foundries.
§ Mr. LomasIn view of the importance of foundries to many of the industries in my constituency of Huddersfield, may I ask the Minister to ensure that this study is given the very highest priority? Can he say whether it will be published?
§ Dr. BrayFoundries are important to a very wide range of activities in the engineering industry, including the industries in my hon. Friend's constituency. It is unlikely that this report will be published, but we are anxious to see that users and makers of foundry equipment gain every benefit from the work done.
