HC Deb 25 July 1968 vol 769 c966
7. Mr. Kirk

asked the Postmaster-General why a mobile telephone exchange cannot be delivered until the end of the year at Saffron Walden, in view of the estimates originally given and the large number of applicants awaiting telephone installation.

Mr. Joseph Slater

I am pleased to say that a mobile exchange has now been made available for Saffron Walden and most people who are waiting will be given service by the late summer.

Mr. Kirk

I am most grateful to the Minister. May I assure him that it is about time, too.
