§ The Assistant Postmaster-General (Mr. Joseph Slater)There is no immediate intention of removing any of these posting boxes. I am having the posting arrangements in Stranraer reviewed to see how future needs can best be met.
§ Mr. BrewisWill the hon. Gentleman keep in mind that the population of Stranraer is on the increase and industrial development is increasing, too? Will he see that postal facilities keep pace with this growth in the town?
§ Mr. SlaterYes, Sir; but I remind the hon. Gentleman that there are at present 17 posting boxes in Stranraer and posting facilities there are on a fairly generous scale. We must await the review and see what the outcome is.
