HC Deb 04 July 1968 vol 767 c1661
Mr. Maclennan

I beg to ask leave to present a Petition from the residents of the parishes of Dornoch and Creich in the County of Sutherland, numbering 1,638, praying that the Secretary of State for Scotland reconsider his approval of the scheme of reorganisation of secondary education in the County of Sutherland and, in particular, that he do retain Dornoch as a six-year school as at present and cause a local inquiry to be held under Section 68 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1962, for the purpose of establishing the accuracy of the various matters described in the Petition which should determine the matter. And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever Pray.

To lie upon the Table.
