asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement on future policy regarding standard quantities.

Mr. John Mackie

We shall be looking at standard quantities at the Annual Review. I cannot anticipate the outcome.

Mr. Prior

With regard to last week's Government White Paper showing no increase in expenditure on agriculture, how are we to get the expansion that agriculture is entitled to have and that the Prime Minister has promised it without an increase in Government expenditure?

Mr. Mackie

The figures to which the hon. Gentleman refers are figures which show that there will be no cut.
