§ Q6. Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Prime Minister what proposals he has for establishing a common citizenship with other members of the European Free Trade Area.
§ Mr. George BrownI have been asked to reply.
None, Sir.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerWill the Foreign Secretary look again at this suggestion, because it has aroused a certain amount of interest among our friends in E.F.T.A.? Will he particularly consider whether the relationship between this country and Canada could be extended to our E.F.T.A. friends?
§ Mr. BrownI do not think that the hon. Gentleman is right to say that this idea has raised a lot of interest among our E.F.T.A. friends, and I do not think that any North American country would regard it as a very good thing to do.
