§ (2) when, under the reorganisation plan for the county of Hertford, the Watford grammar schools will become comprehensive.
§ Miss BaconThe answer to both parts of the first Question is "Yes, at present" and to the second Question "as soon as additional building has been authorised and completed".
§ Mr. Raphael TuckWhy was the Hertfordshire plan approved without reservations to make sure that those particular schools would cease to be selective, and why was no assurance sought from the Hertfordshire authority on a particular date when they would have become comprehensive, when the Government gave their approval to the plan?
§ Miss BaconThe Hertfordshire authority scheme of secondary reorganisation was accepted in September of last 1545 year without reservation as far as the Watford area was concerned. Instructions will be given at the appropriate time about the amendment to the Articles of Government in relation to the introduction of comprehensive reorganisation.
