asked the Minister of Public Building and Works whether he will now make a statement on the Report of the Winterbottom Committee on training for, and the carrying out of, maintenance work.

This Report is now being printed and will be published in January.

Mr. Silvester

As a result of the publication of this Report, is it intended to publish later a simple booklet for the guidance of smaller firms, as was at one time suggested as a result of the activities of the Committee?

Mr. Mellish

When I publish the Report I am willing and prepared not only to give it wide circulation but also to break down that part which concerns special aspects of the industry, and to do all that I can to bring home to those interested the important conclusions of the Report.
