Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make fresh provision with respect to discrimination on racial grounds, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of any sums payable out of moneys so provided under or by virtue of any provision of that Act relating to the constitution and functions of a Race Relations Board, of conciliation committees or of a Community Relations Commission;
  2. (b) of the remuneration of assessors appointed under any provision of that Act for the purposes of any proceedings there-under;and
  3. (c) of any expenses incurred by the Secretary of State in conducting or assisting the conduct of research into any matter connected with relations between people of different colour, race or ethnic or national origins.—[Mr. Callaghan.]
