HC Deb 10 April 1968 vol 762 cc1343-4
6. Mr. Hannan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he intends to give effect to the proposals of the Halliday Committee on Conveyancing.

Mr. Ross

The Report's recommendations are still being considered. Its more far-reaching proposals are being studied as part of the examination which I announced last July, of the possibility of major reform of the Scottish system of land tenure. I hope to be in a position to say something further about these matters later this Session.
