2. Mrs. Butlerasked the Postmaster-General when he expects alternative parking arrangements to be available for vehicles using the Terrick Road sorting office in Wood Green.
§ The Assistant Postmaster-General (Mr. Joseph Slater)They become available this week and are in use.
Mrs. ButlerIs my hon. Friend aware that this will be a great relief to the people who live in this very narrow residential road, which is quite unsuitable for heavy traffic, who had reached the end of their tether? Now that these new arrangements have come into operation, will he look into the possibility of reorganising the sorting office so that the remaining vehicles use the front in Buckingham Road rather than the back in Terrick Road?
§ Mr. SlaterWe are always trying to do what we can to improve administration of the sorting offices. My hon. Friend can rest assured that if we can do anything to assist in this case we will do it.
