HC Deb 07 November 1967 vol 753 c819
22. Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Minister of Power why there is only one representative of Dorset among the 29 members of the South Western Electricity Consultative Council.

Mr. Freeson

Because only a small part of Dorset is in the area of that council.

Mr. Digby

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that Ministers use completely conflicting arguments to justify this kind of result in other spheres? Will he have a word with his right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs?

Mr. Freeson

I will certainly have a word with my right hon. Friend at the D.E.A., but I am not quite sure what is the point of the hon. Member's request.
