HC Deb 07 November 1967 vol 753 c817
17. Mr. Hamling

asked the Minister of Power whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT statistics showing the prices of electricity for various classes of domestic consumer in the London area at 1st November for each of the following years, namely, 1951, 1955, 1959, 1964, and 1967.

Mr. Freeson

Full details of the various tariffs available to consumers are published by the London Electricity Board. Figures showing the average revenue per unit from electricity sales to domestic consumers, which appear in the Board's Annual Reports and Accounts, will be reproduced in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Hamling

Does my hon. Friend not agree that wider publication of these figures certainly would help him and his right hon. Friend in their relations with their supporters?

Mr. Freeson

I quite agree, and I hope that we can all co-operate together in getting this kind of information over to the public.

The following is the information:

London Electricity Board
Average revenue per unit from sales to domestic customers

1955–56 1.577
1959–60 1.815
