§ 17. Dame Joan Vickersasked the Minister of Overseas Development how much of the aid allocated to St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla for the financial year 1967–68 will be spent in the islands of Nevis and Anguilla.
§ Mr. OramBritish aid is made available to the State of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla as a whole. It benefits all parts of the State and it is not possible to quantify the proportions received by each part.
§ Dame Joan VickersCan the Minister say how much money is being allocated; and, if so, what projects does he expect it will be used on? Is he sure that the money is being fairly distributed between these three islands?
§ Mr. OramThe question of distribution, as my Answer indicated, is a matter for the Government of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla. We cannot influence that. It is not possible to separate out the amounts allocated to each island. I am sure that the Premier of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla is fully aware of the development needs of all parts of the three islands.
