HC Deb 02 May 1967 vol 746 c293
15. Sir G. Sinclair

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs whether he has considered the resolution on Fiji adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 12th December, 1966; and what action he proposes to take.

Mrs. Hart

Yes, Sir. We voted against this resolution, and do not propose to take any further action on it.

Sir G. Sinclair

But will the hon. Lady confirm that she will not allow such a visit?

Mrs. Hart

The resolution, of course, covered various aspects of Fiji, but I can confirm that we are not prepared to accept the sub-committee's proposal for a delegation to visit Fiji.
