HC Deb 08 March 1967 vol 742 c1501
42. Mr. Hooley

asked the Minister of Transport if she has considered the report on Sheffield sponsored by the Yorkshire and Humberside Economic Planning Council; and if she will make a statement on its recommendations.

Mr. Swingler

My Department is still considering this valuable report and my right hon. Friend hopes to discuss it soon with the Chairman of the Council.

Mr. Hooley

Will my hon. Friend undertake to pay close attention to the recommendations of the regional planning authority in dealing with the transport needs of this region?

Mr. Swingler

Yes, Sir. We regard this as an important piece of pioneering study in the field of how to integrate transport in a big city. My right hon. Friend will consider its recommendations carefully.
