16. Mr. Hastings

asked the President of the Board of Trade what financial target he is proposing to set for the British Airports Authority.

Mr. Jay

The financial target to be set for the British Airports Authority is under discussion.

Mr. Hastings

When it is decided, will it be consistent with the annual increase in investment in airports and land- ing and navigational facilities of £20 million per annum, as laid down in the National Plan?

Mr. Jay

It will certainly be consistent with the investment being carried out by the British Airports Authority in the relevant years.
