§ 4. Mr. Eadieasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received from organisations and individuals asking for additional tax relief to the parents of spastic children, and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. MacDermotI know of no representations apart from a letter from my 1688 hon. Friend about a particular case, to which I replied on 19th May.
§ Mr. EadieSome tax dispensation to the parents of these children would be greatly appreciated. Will not my hon. and learned Friend give favourable consideration to it?
§ Mr. MacDermotIt is a matter on which we all have sympathy, but the difficulties were discussed in a debate on a new Clause on the Finance Bill this year, on 15th June last, to which I refer my hon. Friend.
