asked the Minister of Labour what progress he has to report on finding alternative accommodation for West Calder Employment Exchange.

Mr. Fernyhough

Alternative accommodation has been obtained for the West Calder Employment Exchange in the former West Calder High School building. Some alterations to the building will be needed, but I expect that it will be ready for occupation in October, 1967.

Mr. Eadie

I thank my hon. Friend for that Answer. Is he aware that the accommodation in the present building is becoming more unsatisfactory with the passage of time both for the staff and public alike?

Mr. Fernyhough

We have been aware of this. This is why we made a diligent search to find a site for a new building. I hope that we will be able to get a site within the next two or three years, but, in the meantime, I am sure my hon. Friend will agree that this is a change for the better.
