Is she going to make a statement to the House about this subject in the foreseeable future, or is what she has just said the extent of the announcement that she proposes to make on the subject?
§ Mrs. CastleI have made it quite clear to the House on a number of occasions that for the immediate future the most effective way of relating traffic on the roads to the road capacity available to take it is to improve and extend parking controls. I have also made it clear to the House, as did the right hon. Member for Wallasey (Mr. Marples), that this may not be enough, and that we may be forced to study other measures. We are not ready, in our studies, to reach decisions on any further policy.
