Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of this Session to secure the provision, as part of the National Health Service, by local health authorities of services in connection with family planning (hereinafter referred to as the "new Act"), it is expedient to authorise— (1) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) any increase attributable to the provisions of the new Act in the sums which, under section 52 of the National Health Service Act 1946 or section 61 of the Local Government Act 1958, are payable out of moneys so provided;
  2. (b) any increase in the sums payable out of moneys so provided in respect of rate support grants to local authorities in England and Wales which may arise from 416 the inclusion, in the expenditure relevant to the fixing of the aggregate amount of those grants, of expenditure under the new Act;
(2) the payment into the Exchequer of all sums received, by virtue of the new Act, by the Minister of Health.—[Mr. Snow.]
