§ Read a Second time and referred to the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills.
§ Mr. OgdenOn a point of order, Mr. Speaker. When the Clerk read the title of the Brighton Marina Bill, I rose in my place and stated my objection. Unfortunately, the Clerk was not looking in my direction, Sir, and neither were you, so that the objection was not registered.
§ Mr. SpeakerI apologise to the hon. Gentleman. I did not hear his objection. I was not looking but I was listening. My hearing must have been defective. The hon. Gentleman need have no fear. The Second Reading has been deferred.
