HC Deb 13 February 1967 vol 741 c73
28. Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Health what is the average cost of feeding a patient per day in the South-West Region.

Mr. Snow

The information asked for is not available in this form.

Mr. Mills

Is it not very sad that these figures are not available, bearing in mind that representations have been made to the hon. Gentleman that there has been a cut in the allocation of food for patients? Will he see that these cuts do nut take place, as it is obviously important to feed patients well?

Mr. Snow

I should like to see more detailed information on that point. I would point out that it is difficult to provide an average figure because of the varying requirements of patients in different types of hospital.
