§ Mr. MasonThe British contribution will be to carry out in this country about one-third of this very important and extensive research and development programme.
§ Mr. MackenzieWhy are we doing this on a co-operative basis and not developing something of our own?
§ Mr. MasonIt is a collaborative project between four countries. The cost of the research and development will be about 125 million dollars, of which our share will be about one-third. It will satisfy our own requirements, and there is a good chance of sales of this equipment, too.
