§ Dr. Dickson MabonI beg to move Amendment No. 59, in page 26, line 28, at the end to insert:
16. For the purposes of Part II of Schedule 2 to the said Act of 1966, any transfer, in whole or in part, under the Water (Scotland) Acts 1946 to 1967, of the undertaking of a local water authority, or of a regional water board or of a water development board to such a board shall be deemed to be an amalgamation of water undertakings.The Amendment is required solely for purposes of Part II of Schedule 2 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1966. I hinted in Committee that we would have to make the Amendment.
