§ 4. Mr. Cordleasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what provision is made for games and physical education at the Bournemouth colleges of technology and art.
§ The Minister of State, Department of Education and Science (Mr. Goronwy Roberts)Although no provision for games and physical education is available for the exclusive use of students they have access to a considerable range of such facilities. The colleges, including the student common rooms and the main library, generally remain open until 9 p.m.
§ Mr. CordleI agree that the absence of suitable accommodation is deplorable, but is the hon. Gentleman aware that the A.P.T.I. report on technical college building did not even consider such a possibility?
§ Mr. RobertsIn common with the hon. Gentleman and the local education authority, I should like to see far better facilities provided as soon as practicable. The hon. Gentleman has a number of other Questions down for Written Reply. Perhaps he will consider the totality of my answers on these points.
