asked the Minister of Labour what is the number of unemployed, by trades and sexes, at the latest convenient date in the city of Aberdeen, and how those figures compare with those in each of the last five years.

As the reply consists of a table of figures, I will with permission circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

While I thank my hon. Friend for that promise, may I ask him to say how these figures are affected on the one hand by the number of advance factories promoted by the President of the Board of Trade in Aberdeen and on the other hand by the drift south of skilled craftsmen and women?
