HC Deb 31 October 1966 vol 735 cc32-3

The following Question stood upon the Order Paper:

36. Mr. DAVID WINNICK

To ask the hon. and learned Member for Brigg, as Second Church Estates Commissioner, what consultations are taking place with the International Language Club at Croydon so as to prevent the Club having to close down due to leases coming to an end.

Mr. Speaker

May I inform the hon. Member for Croydon, South (Mr. Winnick) that, owing to the absence of the Second Church Estates Commissioner—he is ill—Question No. 36 cannot be answered.

Mr. Bellenger

On a point of order. You say, Mr. Speaker, that my hon. and learned Friend is ill and therefore that an Oral Answer cannot be given. Is the House to understand that a Written Answer will be made in due course?

Mr. Speaker

There is nobody who can give the Answer but the Second Church Estates Commissioner, and he is in isolation at the moment.
